About Me
We are fortunate to live in such an exceptional school district that offers a world-class education to all students. I am honored to represent the students, parents, teachers, staff, and community in CCISD as a Trustee.
I am a proud mother of three students enrolled in CCISD attending Ed White Elementary and Seabrook Intermediate. Next year, two of my daughters will be Clear Falls Knights. I am a local realtor and manage short-term rentals in Galveston. Prior to my career in real estate, I dedicated 15 years to the field of education. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Texas A&M University, as well as two master’s degrees from the University of Houston Clear Lake—one in Instructional Technology and the other in Educational Administration. I spent seven years teaching math at both the middle and high school levels before joining the NASA Johnson Space Center Office of Education. In that role, I worked with high school and community college students, as well as middle school teachers, guiding them through online curricula and facilitating hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) activities. I also served as an adjunct professor at Galveston College.
I am a proud member of all 46 PTSs in the Clear Creek Community Council and serve as a liaison to the CCCC for the board. I am actively involved with the Ed White PTA and enjoy volunteering at my daughter’s school. I also support the Clear Creek Education Foundation and the Alliance.
I volunteer with SystemsGo, an innovative high school rocketry/aeroscience curriculum that uses project-based learning to teach STEM, develop skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership, and encourage careers in the engineering industries. This program includes schools from across the state of Texas.
In the community, I serve as a Girl Scout Troop Leader (and Cookie Mom). I am a member of Bay Area Moms of Multiples, where I served on the board for several years. Additionally, I am involved with the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce and the League City Chamber of Commerce. I also volunteered with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Speakers Committee, where I spoke in classrooms throughout the Houston area.
